Import Data from TallyTrak

To perform a count with InstaCaliper and TallyTrack, begin by clicking caliper icon Caliper Import/Export in the eGrow Connect menu. Ensure that all your caliper types and measurements are properly set up and proceed to the following steps.

Generate an Export file for items to be counted​

  1. Click Export icon Export on the ribbon menu
  2. Use the provided filters and select a Ready Date to generate the list of items to be counted
  3. Set the Export Options as needed click Export List Data to download the TXT file

Note that if no inventory items match the filters, the resulting TXT file will be empty/blank. Do not alter the file manually once created. If changes are needed then adjust the filters and click export a new list file.

Create task and perform measurements​

Refer to 2ndSight Bioscience documentation regarding functionality within the portal, general process is as follows.

  1. Login to 2ndSight Bioscience Portal
  2. Navigate to Lists, create a new list with a name with a name of your choosing
  3. Click on Import Items and select the TXT file downloaded previously
  4. Create a Task and assign the list to the task
  5. Sync to InstaCaliper or Tally Trak app and measure caliper

Import results into eGrow​

  1. Within 2ndSight Bioscience Portal, navigate to Reports > Custom
  2. Click on eGrow Report, set appropriate filters and download the report and open the downloaded file
  3. In eGrow Connect > caliper icon Caliper Import/Export, click on Import icon Import
  4. Copy the data from downloaded excel/csv and paste as plain text into the text box, select a ready date and click Import Data at the top left
    • This will import the data into Pending Batches. Any items in red indicates either a caliper map does not exist or the item size is not setup
    • Any items in blue indicates crop exists but no caliper measurement was done and these will be counted as zero qty (0)
  5. Correct the items in red and click Validate Batch, fill in any additional information (On Avail, Comment or Grade) as needed
  6. Click Post Batch and this will process the transaction as a Count if crop exists, otherwise it will be processed as a Plant
